Bridal Expo in Cutler Bay draws a large crowd of brides-to-be

Good weather favored the second annual Bridal Expo at Royal Palm Island of Cutler Bay on Sunday, Apr. 10, and hundreds of people attended the event in the lush tropical setting.

Designed for anyone planning a wedding or large party, the event featured the top wedding vendors in Cutler Bay such as those provding flowers, catering, bridal wear, menswear, bridal registry, deejay services, photography, venue, videography, rental equipment and planning services. It had music and a fashion show as well as free food, free drinks, cake sampling and giveaways, and the admission was free.

Homestead resident Sommer Curry was one of those attending. Sommer won the raffle to have her wedding featured in the Florida Keys Weddings Magazine with photos to be taken by The Perfect Touch Photography. Her husband is stationed at Homestead Air Reserve Base.

“I was very pleased with the event,” Curry said. “It was more than I expected. All of the vendors were really helpful and I enjoyed it. I didn’t have the chance to have a real wedding, so when we celebrate our 12 year anniversary next year we’ll be renewing our vows there.”

Tre’Asha Bryant, another attendee, also enjoyed the event.

“I loved it; it was very helpful,” Bryant said. “They had pretty much every vendor you could imagine there at your disposal. It was all around a great experience. I went with another couple who are also engaged to be married, so we all had a great time.”

Daphne Spivey of Royal Palm Island saod the popularity of the event has prompted them to schedule it again for next year. Royal Palm Island of Cutler Bay is located at 10350 SW 232 St. Visit www.royalpalmbridalshow.com for more information.
