Miami Dade schools will be participating in Fathers in Education Day on May 14, 2015. All community based organizations are requested to include Fathers in Education Day on their calendars.
Fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers and male role models and mentors are invited to come in to local schools to read, tell stories, share a hobby, talk about their job and other activities.
Schools participating on Fathers in Education Day demonstrate to fathers, mothers, families, children and the community that they believe in the importance of fathers and male role models being involved in their child’s education. It is way to increase communication with fathers and between fathers and children to support their children as they learn and to welcome additional parental participation.
