HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami will join hospitals across the country to celebrate National Rehabilitation Week, September 15 – 21. The festivities will culminate with a FREE Community Health Fair on Saturday, September 21st from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. on the HealthSouth campus located at 20601 Old Cutler Road.
There will be fun activities for the whole family. Kids will have a blast with “The Fun Bus”, arts & crafts, a bounce house, face painting and pony rides. Meet special guest, nationally-known, bi-lateral athlete Hector Picard, who embarked on a cross-country bicycle trip to raise money towards the purchase of prosthetic arms for a child who was born without arms. The Marlins Street Team will add to the excitement of the day, plus there will be live music, martial arts demonstrations, art exhibits, jewelry displays and more. Visit a variety of wellness specialists, including acupuncturists, massage therapists, nutrition & skin experts, and chiropractors. Attendees will also have a chance to win special raffle prizes every half hour, as well as enjoy delicious treats from a variety of food trucks, including Sir Pizza and Ms. Cheezious.
