MCH honored for Overall Outpatient- Pediatric Unit Patient Satisfaction

Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) recently was recognized with an Excellence Through Insight Award for “Overall Outpatient-Pediatric Unit Patient Satisfaction” by HealthStream, a leading provider of learning, talent management and research solutions for the healthcare industry.

MCH was awarded this honor based on the high 2012 patient satisfaction scores garnered by its outpatient care units. Contributing to the recognition, the MCH Heart Station, The Division of Neuroscience and Diagnostic Radiology at MCH each ranked within the top five nationwide of hospital outpatient programs assessed by HealthStream.

To qualify for an award, a hospital must have been a patient satisfaction-tracking client of HealthStream in 2012, and have scored in the 75th percentile or higher, with a minimum of 100 patients surveyed. MCH was chosen for receiving the highest ratings in outpatientpediatric unit patient satisfaction from among HealthStream’s clients, as well as exceeding industry standards.

“We are honored to hear that we are being recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction for outpatient services,” said Al Rego, vice president of Clinical Operations at MCH. “This award is a testament to our commitment to world-class pediatric care while providing an excellent overall experience.”

HealthStream CEO Robert A. Frist Jr. said, “We applaud MCH’s high-level commitment to excellence in healthcare — and we are pleased to recognize their achievement with our Excellence through Insight award.”
