Tuyo offers culinary delights and outstanding Miami views.

Experience tantalizing treats as Miami Dade College’s very own culinary delight, Tuyo, joins Miami Spice, preparing unforgettable dishes inspired by some of its chef’s favorite musical genres.

From reggae, calypso, and other island rhythms, to salsa, classical, and pop music, Tuyo will serve up exquisite flavors for foodies. Miami Spice, a mouth-watering restaurant promotion showcasing the very best of Miami cuisine, is taking place now through Sept. 30.

Located on the top floor of the Miami Culinary Institute (MCI) at MDC, the restaurant offers one of South Florida’s most elegant dining experiences, first-class service, and an unparalleled panoramic view of the downtown skyline and Biscayne Bay.

During this special promotion, the selections prepared by executive chef Victor Santos will be comprised of four menus including “The Rythms of the Islands” (through Aug. 16), featuring conch salad, smoked avocado puree, cassava crisps, and coconut rice-encrusted cod; Pop Music (Aug. 18-30), showcasing beet carpaccio, spiced orange vinaigrette and marcona almonds, and spicy-seared pork tenderloin and braised pork belly; Salsa-Merengue (Sept. 2-13), starring black bean croquetas and cabbage slaw, and mofongo-encrusted halibut with sancocho consumme, and Classical (Sept. 16-30), with flounder menieure and sautéed spinach, and devil’s food cake consumme with blood-orange macaron.

Tuyo’s Miami Spice promotion will offer three-course meals for dinner for $39, not including beverage, tax or gratuity. Wine pairing is available for $19 for first and second courses.

Tuyo features the ever-evolving menu of trailblazing Chef Victor Santos. His Contemporary American cuisine features classic flavor combinations highlighted by an emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients. Reflecting Tuyo’s location in the heart of an international metropolis, diners also will find some Classical, Latin and Asianinspired references on the menu.
