Mercantil Commercebank employees help build Habitat for Humanity home

Mercantil Commercebank representatives, including president and COO Al Peraza (pictured far right), participated in constructing a home for a deserving family during Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami’s Blitz Build 2015 project.

Throughout the month of February, Mercantil Commercebank employees worked together to construct a home in the South Miami Heights Habitat Landings Community for a deserving family.

On Feb. 28, the group helped to put the finishing touches on the home’s landscaping and shared a picnic lunch alongside volunteers from other participating organizations.

As part of the final day of the Blitz, Mercantil Commercebank president and COO Al Peraza, who serves as a member of the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami Board of Directors, presented the new homeowners their house keys during a brief ceremony.
