Pam Regula now serving as assistant town clerk

Pam Regula became the assistant to Cutler Bay’s Town Clerk on Feb. 13 helping with preparations for the March council meeting and special events at Town Hall in addition to other duties.

Although currently residing in nearby Palmetto Bay, Regula lived and grew up in the Cutler Ridge area since 1974, and in South Florida all her life. She attended Cutler Ridge Elementary, Cutler Ridge Middle School and Southridge Senior High.

“I graduated from Miami-Dade College with an associate degree in Legal Assisting and from Barry University with a Bachelor in Public Administration,” Regula said in a recent interview. “I began my career at Miami-Dade County in 1982 at the Seaport Department. During my tenure with the county I worked in several departments in addition to the Seaport Department, which included Transit and Communications. I love doing what I do since I basically grew up in the public sector.”

She will be assisting Town Clerk Esther Coulson in the day-to-day business of that office and with the preparation of agendas, resolutions and ordinances for council meetings. She said that she enjoys that aspect of it because it’s interesting.

“I’ve always been fascinated by the legislation process of government and was very excited to begin this new phase in my career in the Town Clerk’s office where we work first hand in the legislative process of government,” Regula said. “Having worked in the public sector for 29 years I’m hoping to bring my knowledge and experience with me to the Town of Cutler Bay and add to the success of the town I grew up in.”
