Redland Summer Fruit Festival at Fruit and Spice Park, June 11-12

Enjoy a variety of fruits that are in season this summer at the Redland Summer Fruit Festival at Fruit and Spice Park on Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fruit and Spice Park is located at 24801 SW 187 Ave. in Homestead.

The Redland Summer Fruit Festival will feature local agriculture and tropical fruit plants on display and for sale. There will be educational workshops and demonstrations on various topics including lychee/longan, cultivation, propagation, and grafting techniques.

Sample rare fruits or visit the concession booths offering fruit-based foods such as fruit smoothies, coco frio, sugar cane, chocolate-covered fruit, and other mouth-watering foods.

A children’s area will feature the Little Farm Petting Zoo, pony rides, watermelon-eating contest, water balloon toss, and other fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The Redland Fruit and Spice Park, operated by the Miami-Dade Park and Recreation Department, grows more than 500 varieties of sub-tropical fruits, herbs, spices, vegetables, and nuts from around the world on 40 lush acres in the agricultural Redlands. The park offers daily botanical tours, fruit tasting and naturalist-led workshops.
