South Florida Golf Foundation Offers Attractive Packages for WGC Caddilac Championship

South Florida Golf Foundation is offering two attractive membership packages for the upcoming World Golf Championships Cadillac Championship on March 7-13 at Doral Golf Resort & Spa, A Marriott Resort.

“By joining our Storm Club, golfing fans can watch the PGA’s top pros from excellent vantage points on Doral’s Blue Monster golf course, while supporting community charities,” said Ray Zomerfeld, foundation President. “You can also take part in a full week of social events, while building awareness for your organization.”

For more than 45 years, the South Florida Golf Foundation (a 501c3 not-for-profit organization) has hosted an annual PGA golf tournament at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa, raising more than $18 million for South Florida charities, including a record $1.97 million in 2010.

Now, the foundation is offering two levels of value-packed memberships in its Storm Club: an “A” package at $3,000 (retail value $5,300) and a “B” package at $5,000 (retail value $7,500). As and added benefit, if an individual purchases one of these packages, they can designate a charity of choice and SFGF will donate back to that charity 50% of the ticket package price.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for local charities to generate extra revenue, and it offers an excellent client-relationship building experience at the same time. It’s a win-win,” says Tina Mullen, Executive Director of SFGF.

Storm Club members can receive tickets to the 18th Greenside Skybox, the premier vantage point of the tournament offering complimentary food & beverage, the Champions Pavilion, a climate-controlled hospitality facility facing the first tee, and THE POINT, a viewing structure near the #9 and #18 greens. They can also take advantage of additional social benefits, such as access to exclusive Cadillac Championship parties, SFGF Golf Outings, and complimentary rounds of golf at Doral Golf Resort & Spa, A Marriott Resort.

For Storm Club members, one of the week’s high-profile social events will be a reception on Tuesday, March 8 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Doral Golf Resort & Spa. Members of the PGA tour, SFGF board members and representatives of local charities have been invited to take part in this special event.

“If you enjoy golf and want to help others, joining the Storm Club is an exceptional value,” said Jim McClean, owner, Jim McClean Golf Schools. “It’s great fun to watch the pros, while knowing that you’re also contributing to a great cause.”

Introduced in 1999, the World Golf Championships feature an elite field that includes the top 75 players from the Official World Golf Ranking. For 2011 the tournament is proud to announce a new title sponsor and the tournament is now the WGC Cadillac Championship. The championship moved to Doral’s TPC Blue Monster Course in 2007, and Ernie Els is the defending champion.

For more than 20 years, the South Florida Golf Foundation has supported South Florida charities, primarily through sponsoring and hosting a variety of golf tournaments, including the WGC Cadillac Championship. “With a dedicated staff, enthusiastic volunteers and the generous support of corporate sponsors, our foundation has united businesses, organizations and individuals with a common goal: to nurture and protect healthy, happy children and promote stronger, safer communities,” said Zomerfeld.
