The clothing rummage sale always is popular.

St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 17700 Old Cutler Rd. in Palmetto Bay, will host its annual Fall Fair on Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This time the fundraiser has added significance.

Proceeds this year’s event will benefit Lutheran Disaster Response for Hurricane Irma victims in the Florida Keys as well as St. Thomas’ homeless outreach programs, according to Diana Orme, coordinator of the Fall Fair.

“The fair promises to be a fun day of fellowship, food and shopping that provides outreach to the entire community,” Orme said. “We will have our ‘previously loved’ rummage sale, homemade baked goods and a hot dog cafe. There’ll be local craft vendors, free face painting for kids and adults who will never grow up.”

The Fall Fair was started over 30 years ago and is organized by the Women of the Church. It began with only crafts made by the women and evolved about 15 years ago to include outside craft vendors. The entire congregation now participates in the production of the fair.

Vendors can contact the church at 305-232-1227 or by email at Stthomaschr@aol.com. Booths are available for $30 and $35 with electric, paid in advance; an additional $5 is charged the day of fair.
