Wells Fargo has named Pat Morris Community Affairs Officer in South Florida, effective immediately. He will be based in Miami.

Morris will be responsible for the management and implementation of corporate social responsibility projects and programs for South Florida, which includes execution of community investments and team member volunteerism projects in the region.

“Pat brings vast experience in corporate social responsibility and strong ties to the nonprofit community in the region,” said Joe Atkinson, South Florida region president. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the stagecoach. We look forward to the strategic leadership and professional support that he will provide to continue to build Wells Fargo’s reputation in our region.”

“Pat’s relationship building and project managements skills will be a tremendous asset to the Wells Fargo team in South Florida,” said Connie Smith, Diverse Community Capital Program manager and former Community Affairs manager for Florida. “With his leadership, the region will continue its record of intelligent and thoughtful investing in the future of the region’s communities.”

Previously, Morris served as vice president of Community Affairs at Vista Health Plan and was the vice president for Business Development at Sabadell United Bank. He also was the founder and CEO of Hands on Miami and chief development officer at the YMCA of Greater Miami.

Active in community service, Morris is a board member for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of South Florida and the Coral Gables Good Government Initiative. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables.

Previously, he has served on numerous local nonprofit boards, including chair of the Make-AWish Foundation of Southern Florida, chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Nonprofit Committee for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the Governor’s Commission on Community and Volunteer Service.

He holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from American University in Washington, DC.
