In support of the 50th anniversary of Perry Ellis International – and their 20th year in Doral –
the city celebrated this major milestone by proclaiming December 12 as “Perry Ellis International Day 2017.”

Originally founded as supreme international in 1967, Perry Ellis international Inc. is a leading designer and distributor of a broad line of quality men, women, and children’s apparel, accessories, and fragrances. In 1997, Perry Ellis International opened its 180,000 square-foot headquarters in Doral.

Currently the company represents an impressive portfolio of diversified apparel lifestyle brands and sells all retail channels of distribution, making it one of the world’s leading global lifestyle and apparel companies.

Perry Ellis International was one of the first companies that established headquarters in the city of Doral in 1997. Its headquarters and retail stores located in the Miami International Mall have aided in the economic development of the growing City of Doral. Today, it generates close to $3.1 billion dollars in retail sales with domestic and overseas offices employing 2,500 associates – with approximately 600 associates locally.

In recognized the milestone and the success of Perry Ellis International, Doral Mayor J.C. Bermudez said, “Doral is proud to be the home of Perry Ellis International and greatly values the impact they have had in our community.”

Perry Ellis international was founded in 1967 in downtown Miami as Supreme International Corp. and has since grown to be one of the most recognizable brands in the fashion industry.

Not only is Perry Ellis International focused on continually building is brand, it also has a mission of being a philanthropic in that supports local charities such as the United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and the Americans Cancer Society.

Also attending the event and presenting a county proclamation to the company was Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz.
