Downtown Doral Charter Elementary School (DDCES) recently hosting its Third Annual Winter Wonderland Family Day.
The Dec. 9 event was an opportunity for the number one charter school in Miami-Dade County and the local community to come together to celebrate the holiday season and enjoy an educational and fun family-friendly day. The event featured a wide variety of entertainment and activities including bounce houses, arts and crafts, games, food trucks, face painters, photos with Santa, Zumba, a DJ, and booths featuring local Downtown Doral vendors.
Immediately following the event, which was open to the general public, Winter Wonderland Family Day attendees were encouraged to stroll around to see the holiday lights of Downtown Doral all lit up, take photos, and support the myriad small businesses and eateries in the area.
Monies raised through ticket sales will go toward technology tools for the DDCES, as well as sponsoring learning activities, events, and student/teacher recognition programs.
