This past month, we co-hosted two hugely successful events with our strategic partners, World City and the Doral Overseas Chinese Business Chamber, both of which we plan further collaboration in the future. Earlier in the year, we also hosted various workshops and luncheons addressing important issues relevant to all business and economic interests. Now, I look forward to the rest of the year.
As many of you know, the City of Doral is home to over 3,000 trade and logistics companies. Both as an organization and as a community, it is essential that we continue to provide resources to our business interests, especially as the economy rebounds positively from recent years.
We’re pleased to announce that the DBC International Committee will host a free workshop on Wednesday, June 4, at 4 p.m. with keynote speakers from both Enterprise Florida and the U.S. Import and Export Bank.
In addition, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose Pepe Diaz, Chairman of the Economic Development and International Trade Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources will be Keynote Speaker at our Signature Breakfast on Tuesday, June 10.
The next six months will continue to be equally exciting with the launching two new events this year:
• The DBC Business Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 10
• The DBC Veteran’s Day Golf Tournament, Nov.11
The Expo will incorporate our Signature Luncheon, a traditional expo with varied workshops with our Signature After-Hours Connection. Meanwhile, DBC golfers will honor men and women who serve in our armed forces.
In addition, we will also again host our annual “Legacy Gala,” presented by Mercantil Bank on Saturday, Oct. 18 in the newly-renovated Ivanka Trump Ballroom at Trump National Miami.
It’s an exciting year still ahead and I’m looking forward to seeing you at all of our upcoming events in 2014!
