The Doral mayor and council joined with residents Aug. 22 to celebrate the inaugural opening of a new stretch of road along NW 66 St.
With a snip of the ceremonial ribbon, the long-awaited section was opened, whereby alleviating traffic in the area and completing the important connection between NW 107 Ave. and NW 97 Ave.
City officials were proud to announce the project was completed on schedule and $154,000 under budget.
This new connection will reduce congestion in the area by providing motorists an alternative route to NW 74 St. and NW 58 St.
Additionally, it will enhance connectivity for hundreds of current and futures residents of the Atlantic, Neovita, Vintage, Mansions, Doral Palms, and Landmark communities – as well as for the multitude of parents who drop-off and pick-up students at the Doral International Academy of Math and Science.
