Palmetto General Hospital and City of Hialeah Fire Department Work Together to Educate the Community on Stroke

WHAT
The Neuroscience Program at Palmetto General Hospital, in partnership with the City of Hialeah, is teaming up to host a Stroke Awareness event to educate the community on stroke. During the event, a panel of physicians, emergency medical services responders, and a recent 21 year old stroke survivor, will discuss stroke signs, symptoms and prevention. Attendees will have access to blood pressure screenings and stroke risk assessments provided by the Stroke Team at Palmetto General Hospital and Station 7. With a focus on improving patient outcomes, The Comprehensive Stroke Center at Palmetto General Hospital, a member of
the Advanced Neuroscience Network, provides rapid and comprehensive care to save hundreds of lives every year.
