As completion nears on Downtown Doral’s first major high-rise, 5252 Paseo, construction manager Moss & Associates hosted a toppingout party May 15.
Developed by Codina Partners and scheduled for completion this fall, the 20-story 5252 Paseo Tower is the first of the master-planned community’s two inaugural luxury residential towers, with 203 units and 285,614 square feet. A second tower at 5300 Paseo, across the street to the north, is under construction and scheduled to open in fall 2016.
Both projects will include nearly 1,000 parking spaces for the residences and 80,000 square feet of retail along both sides of The Paseo, the new east-west main street through Downtown Doral. Moss & Associates is nearing completion on the garage and retail.
The Paseo towers will offer panoramic views of the city skyline and of the Trump National Doral Golf Course, just to the west across 5252 NW 87 Avenue. Moss executives and managers in the Downtown Doral project include executive vice president Joe Harris, vice president/project executive Ed Baro, and project executive Chris Krause.
The Paseo towers are a cornerstone of Downtown Doral, a 120-acre master-planned community owned by Codina Partners, and the first of more than 2,840 upscale residential units planned among eight to nine condominium towers, with three additional apartment buildings and 90 townhouses. Downtown Doral will also include 180,000 square feet of retail, more than 1 million square feet of Class A office space, and an elementary school. Both towers are designed by Charles Sieger and Jose Suarez of Sieger Suarez Architectural Partnership.
