TONY SEGRETO NAMED AN OFFICIAL AMBASSADOR TO HIALEAH PARK CASINO

TSHialeah Park, also known as “the world’s most beautiful race course”, proudly announces that Tony Segreto, one of South Florida’s most recognizable personalities, has been named an official ambassador of Hialeah Park Casino. Scheduled to open this summer in grand style, Hialeah Park Casino is looking to change the landscape of South Florida entertainment.

Tony Segreto is nothing less than a South Florida media icon that filled family room television sets for 40 years, as an integral part of the NBC 6 News team. A South Florida native, Segreto attend Archbishop Curley High School and later the University of Miami where he set his sights on journalism. Segreto’ s amazing body of work includes covering more than 20 Super Bowls, 2-Olympics, World Series, Stanley Cups, NBA finals, and National Championships. He’s also interviewed two sitting Presidents and political leaders from around the country. Amongst his many accolades, he was awarded with the prestigious Silver Circle Award by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), recognizing over 25 years of excellence in broadcast journalism. Professional achievements aside, Segreto’s sense of community has made him a South Florida catalyst for various non-profits and community efforts including the Dan Marino Foundation, Orange Bowl Committee, Community Foundation of Broward and the South Florida Sports Commission.

Tony Segreto said: “As a journalist in this market for 40 years I covered countless stories at this iconic institution and I am very well aware of the historical significance of Hialeah Park. On a more personal level, as a native South Floridian I am honored to be part of this amazing property which represents decades of history to my home town. Hialeah Park Casino represents a new chapter in the story of this South Florida landmark and I am proud to serve as a representative to one of the few remaining properties with links to our past. The Orange Bowl and Miami Stadium are now gone but Hialeah Park stands the test of time and we look forward to a bright future as the Brunetti family unveils the Hialeah Park Casino this summer.”

The addition of Tony Segreto stays in line with Hialeah Park Casino’s plan to continue its strong connection to the South Florida community.

Owner of Hialeah Park, John J. Brunetti stated: “The Brunetti family is proudly reinforcing the park’s strong ties to the community by naming Tony Segreto an ambassador to Hialeah Park Casino. Professionally and philanthropically Segreto embodies everything that is great about South Florida, and we look forward to a long relationship with one of South Florida’s most important media personalities.” Hialeah Park, which is considered “THE” racetrack by horse racing enthusiasts, is currently undergoing a major transformation which will bring a gorgeous new casino and will revitalize one of South Florida’s gems.

Hialeah Park’s renovation, which is just Phase 1 of a bolder future plan, will showcase a casino that will house 882 slots, 20 poker tables, electronic blackjack, electronic roulette, and 3 domino tables along with a variety of lounges, cafes and restaurants. Construction crews are currently working around the clock to unveil the casino this summer.
