WIESENTHAL “The Conscience of the Holocaust”

Tom Dugan’s award winning one-man play takes the stage March 13-17, 2013

AVENTURA, FLWiesenthal, “The Conscience of the Holocaust,”  the critically acclaimed story of Nazi Hunter Simon Wiesenthal, (The Jewish James Bond”) premieres Wednesday, March 13th at 8pm through March 17th with two performances on Saturday, March 16th at 2pm and 8pm, at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center.

Set on the day of Wiesenthal’s retirement, Tom Dugan, brings warmth, wit and humor to “Nazi Hunter” Simon Wiesenthal, as he reveals to his final group of students at the Jewish Documentation Center in Vienna, how he solved his most sensational cases. Dugan transports us from the Nazi atrocities to one man’s relentless quest to right humanity’s wrongs.

Wiesenthal, The Nazi Hunter has been hailed by audiences and critics alike as “masterful” (Backstage), “authoritative and engaging” (LA Times), and “most eloquent” (LA Weekly). Winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award and three L.A. Ovation Award nominations, Wiesenthal chronicles the life of the Austrian-Jewish Holocaust survivor who became internationally famous for his relentless pursuit of such notorious villains as Adolf Eichmann, Franz Stangl, Dr. Josef Mengele and the SS officer who imprisoned Anne Frank. Now known as “The Conscience of the Holocaust,” Wiesenthal recounts the remarkable story of how, after cheating death at the hands of Hitler’s dreaded S.S, he dedicated his life to tracking down and bringing to justice the greatest mass murderers in human history.
