The Latin Builders Association Construction and Business Management Academy Charter High will celebrate its Open House on Saturday, April 5, 2014, where future students can learn about the benefits of attending a public high school with a private-school feel. The first year it opened its doors, the Academy was ranked as an “A” school and placed #1 in Math among all 728 schools with 25% or more ELL students.
The school uses up-to-date technology in the classroom and beyond and offers a paper-free environment: each student is issued an iPad and electronic textbooks. The Academy also offers regular and honors courses such as Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement.
During the Open House, visitors can meet current students, parents and teachers, and can tour the school and register on the spot, as well as meet with college counselors to explore future career options. Guests will also enjoy entertainment, free lunch and a free iPad case for the first 50 students registered.
