What parent would not want their child to improve their reading up to three grade levels in two weeks? Parents’ of students reading at or below grade level, students with, ADHD, dyslexia, processing deficits, and executive function, or parents’ simply wanting their child to get ahead, need not worry any longer. From August 5-16, the Levy Learning Center, located at 1031 Ives Dairy Road, Building 4, Suite 228, North Miami, 33179, is offering its final intensive, skill-building summer workshop of 2013.
Parents interested in improving their child’s reading, mathematics level, or organizational skills, are invited to attend the Levy Learning Center Open House. The Open House takes place on Friday, August 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dr. Levy, national reading expert, author, national and international lecturer, and her staff, will be on hand answering questions, and showcasing the Center’s cutting-edge MaxScholar reading software. This software is based on the Orton-Gillingham approach to education: a multi-sensory, cognitive, and structured, yet flexible approach to reading instruction. “Every child can learn when they’re being taught in a multi-sensory way. Good, engaging software is the answer to literacy,” says Dr. Levy.
Through the use of the MaxScholar software, Levy Learning Center’s students have improved their reading comprehension by an average of three grade levels. “The MaxScholar software keeps students engaged and motivated,” says Dr. Levy. “Parents say their children get up at 7 am on a Sunday to work on MaxScholar.”
Though she started in Miami, Dr. Levy has showcased this software nationwide, and it is now featured in many schools. Attending this Open House is an invaluable investment of time into your child’s future success in school.
