“Meet the Miami Beach Candidates”
Political Forum & Networking Luncheon
Miami Beach – The race is on to replace the mayor’s seat in Miami Beach with five candidates and three commission seats with nine candidates on the November 5th election. The Miami Beach Bar Association and the Miami Beach Latin Chamber of Commerce are hosting a forum with the candidates to talk about the current issues in Miami Beach.
That opportunity comes on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013 during a luncheon from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.,at Yuca Restaurant, 501 Lincoln Road. The public is invited and cost of lunch is $35 with advance ticket purchase.
In a city that serves a population of 87,780 and soars to 100,000 with seasonal residents during the high season, it requires leaders who will have a huge impact on the city’s future. This will be one of the best public forums to get a firsthand look and feel for the people behind names voters will see on the ballot on November 5th. Both organizations will not endorse any candidates but join forces in shaping the important issues to keep our community strong.
The full slate of candidate’s forum will be moderated by Eliott Rodriguez, news anchor of CBS Channel 4 who will ask the questions that matters the most to the candidates hoping to administer and represent our best interests at city hall.
“September 10th is an important date to join us; it could change your views.…perhaps even change your vote”, comments Elizabeth Schwartz, President of the Bar Association. “We encourage the public to attend, be introduced as constituents and meet the candidates face-to-face”, adds Grace Calvani, President of Miami Beach Latin Chamber of Commerce.
