What: Energy, Climate Disruption, and Sea Level Rise: New Directions in Law & Policy, is a two-day symposium presented by Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel in Dania, FL.
Who: NSU Law Professors Joel Mintz, Richard Grosso, and Brion Blackwelder collaborated to bring together speakers from various disciplines, organizations, and agencies, at the federal, state, and local level. It will feature some of the Nation’s most prominent academic experts in energy law and policy, highly regarded scientists with relevant expertise, and important federal, state and local government officials with knowledge of the most recent pertinent changes in the law and policy. If you are an attorney who provides legal counsel to: state or local government policy makers and planning staff, insurance companies, developers, NGOs, real estate agents, or others impacted by our changing environment, you will want to attend this Symposium. Academics, scientists, and students of various disciplines may also be interested. The Florida Bar has approved 13 CLE hours (general), including specific certification credit hours, for Florida attorneys. If you practice in the areas of environmental, land use, or state and local government law, or you represent clients in the real estate, energy, or insurance industry, you will want to attend this Symposium. The Florida Bar approved 13 hours (general) CLE credits, including credits for Board Certified attorneys: 2 credits (City, County, and Local Government Law, International Law, and Real Estate) or 13 credits (State and Federal Government, and Administrative Practice).
