On Tuesday, January 30th from 3:30-4:40 p.m., Valente Brothers Jiu-Jitsu of Coral Gables will welcome city officials, members of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and the public to the school’s grand opening celebration at 275 University Avenue in Coral Gables. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place and officiated by Mayor Jim Cason. Tours will be given and refreshments will be served.
Valente Brothers Jiu-Jitsu is the official representation of Grandmaster Hélio Gracie in Florida and gained worldwide notoriety when his son, Royce Gracie, won the first Ultimate Fighting Championship. The style of martial arts taught by the Valente Brothers is the official hand-to-hand combat system of the United States Military and law enforcement agencies around the country. This is the fourth Valente Brothers Jiu-Jitsu School to open in Florida and the first in Coral Gables.
