FPL employees recently had the chance to “speed date” and play with kittens and puppies from the Humane Society along with eight other nonprofits serving Miami-Dade County in hopes of scoring employees’ support for the company’s employee giving program. The nonprofits that attended at FPL’s Coral Gables office on Sept. 23 included Humane Society of Miami-Dade, United HomeCare, Everglades Foundation, Guardian Ad Litem, Miami Education Fund, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Dolphins Cancer Challenge and Special Olympics.
