IT’S OFFICIAL! CONSTRUCTION BEGINS FOR 6080 COLLINS AVENUE BEACH HOUSE

IT’S OFFICIAL! CONSTRUCTION BEGINS FOR 6080 COLLINS AVENUE BEACH HOUSE 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House, a new $30 million, select-service hotel residence broke ground Monday, April 18. Developed on one of the last parcels of vacant land in Mid Beach, the six-story boutique development has 70 large studios and one-bedroom suites. A Streamline Moderne exterior is complemented by stylish turnkey interiors. With access to the Atlantic Ocean and Beach, units start at a competitive $267,100. Well-traveled buyers from Europe, Latin America and the USA have already purchased 65 percent.

“For a long time, new development only occurred on South Beach,” said Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Jerry Libbin. “It’s great to see interest growing northbound, with Mid Beach and North Beach each experiencing a renaissance.”

The neighborhood is undergoing a dramatic transformation with charming historic properties being restored and new hotels rising on and around the beach. The buildings are being created by savvy developers who take care of the environment and keep the evolving neighborhood in top shape as it becomes the next hot area, a destination chock-a-block with tourists.

According to the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Miami-Dade hotels sold more rooms in January and February than the same period last year, rising a tenth of a percent from 2,516,966 rooms sold to 2,520,639. Average daily occupancy also scored high, a whopping second in the U.S.

The mixed-use development will also include a Starbucks on the ground floor of 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House. This will be the only Starbucks located on either side of Collins Avenue for a couple of miles—the closest is Alton and 41 St. on the south, and Bal Harbour on the north—the addition of the popular coffeehouse is a boost for everyone in the area.

“With another sale just this past week, our product continues to move at a swift pace,” says Pablo Hoberman, one of the hotel residence’s three Argentine developers and architects, a joint venture between Urbis Real Estate and Domus Group. “People like the price point, unique rental program and hassle-free ownership, and we are thrilled to have found this sweet spot.”

The residences at 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House, designed by Chisholm Architects and executed by Charles H. Benson Associates, have a modern, 1960s style design. The interiors are bright with lots of natural light from high impact windows that open to deep private terraces. Three ground level residences have private gardens with as much as 39 linear feet from sliding door to hedge.

All units offer iPads, apps for concierge and valet parking, super-fast Wi-Fi, housekeeping, curated designer furnishings, high quality finishes and upscale appliances. Building amenities include a rooftop pool, gym, water wall and lobby entrance. The rooms and lobby will be highlighted with original works created by local artists through a contest collaboration with Miami’s Bakehouse Art Complex.

6080 Collins Avenue Beach House is slated for top-off December 2016 with completion by summer of 2017.
