ROVR Development has unveiled plans for The Fairchild Coconut Grove, an exclusive residential enclave set to be the only luxury condominium development soon to rise on the waterfront in historic Coconut Grove.
ROVR amassed the one-acre parcel through the acquisition of the former Bay Colony Condominiums in the Grove’s quaint Glencoe neighborhood.
The five-story The Fairchild Coconut Grove will bring tropical modernism within its 26 well-appointed and extremely private residences, all while remaining true to The Grove’s rich and storied past.
Its name and design gives a nod to the pioneers and eclectic residents of yesteryear, yet The Fairchild Coconut Grove will afford its residents a confluence of luxury and privacy that will define curated waterfront living.
Esteemed local Coconut Grove architect Max Strang ensured that The Fairchild Coconut Grove will have a decidedly Grove feel. Incorporated in the design is local oolite limestone, native wood accents and clean white stucco as well as expansive outdoor terraces and private gardens.
Dedicated elevators will lead to exquisite two- to four-bedroom residences that range in size from 1,700 to 4,200 square feet, with prices from $1.4 million to $4.5 million.
Select residences also will have the option of purchasing one of the available private boat slips. The Fairchild Coconut Grove is scheduled to break ground in early 2017 with a spring 2018 delivery date.
With the utmost respect for The Grove’s rich flora and fauna, The Fairchild Coconut Grove’s lushly landscaped grounds boast native Florida foliage.
Throughout The Fairchild Coconut Grove, Rafael de Cárdenas — Maison & Objet Americas’ 2016 Designer of the Year and an Architectural Digest “AD 100” Designer — brings his refined and contemporary vision to the design of interior and exterior amenities, distinctive in its use of timeless and elegant forms and materials.
Primed for pure relaxation and a healthy lifestyle, The Fairchild Coconut Grove is equipped with a holistic wellness spa with a hammam, steam room, sauna, private treatment room and gym. Valet and security staff will be on hand 24 hours for the convenience of residents and their guests, and residents will be treated to an abundance of resort-style white glove services.
Punctuating the style and sophistication of The Fairchild Coconut Grove is an array of bespoke amenities, including spacious gourmet kitchens by Poliform including premier Sub-Zero, Wolf, Dornbracht and Asko appliances while sublime master bathrooms feature Duravit and Dornbracht fixtures, along with a lavish free-standing soaking tub.
Residents also will enjoy the sunset roof deck with outdoor living rooms and serenity gardens, or sunbathe by the rooftop pool replete with private cabanas. Offering prime bay views, the expansive Bayfront deck complete with fire pit, will enable residents to maximize living where they can enjoy relaxing pleasures 365 days a year.
“Retaining its calm and tranquil nature, Coconut Grove has quietly become one of the most desired destinations to live in the United States,” said Oscar Rodriguez and Ricardo Vadia, principals of ROVR Development. “A host of iconic innovators, pioneers, artists and adventurers have called the Grove home since its founding. Today, that rich history is evidenced by its composition of residents and distinguishable architecture and design. The Fairchild Coconut Grove pays homage to this elegant past while elevating its bright future.”
