Village’s fifth annual Bridal Expo set Sept. 24 at Thalatta Estate

The Village of Palmetto Bay’s annual Bridal Expo returns for the fifth year on Sunday, Sept. 24, and there is still time to register.

This popular free event geared toward wedding planning will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thalatta Estate Park, 17301 Old Cutler Rd.

As before, the expo is attracting top-notch vendors in the field to help people plan weddings, sweet sixteens, or an anniversary celebration, according to Saylin Paez, Events and Programs supervisor for the village.

“Meet some of the best professionals in the industry including event planners, photographers, florists, entertainers and caterers,” Paez said. “As our special guest you will receive complimentary valet services and free admission.

“During the Expo, your taste buds will be tantalized with specialty food and beverage samples, enjoy live music and get the opportunity to explore all the property’s amenities and beauty that Thalatta Estate has to offer including the renovated 1910 mansion, prep kitchen, bridal suite, manicured grounds, and open water views.”

Anyone who wants to attend this event is asked to RSVP at www.palmettobay-fl.gov under the Parks Department page no later than Thursday, Sept. 21.

For information, or for those who wishing to participate as a vendor, visit the village website or call 305-259-1234.

Fanny Carmona, Parks and Recreation director, is looking forward to the annual expo and thinks it has a lot to offer brides-to-be.

“It’s an opportunity to get ideas and see new trends in the industry as you’re planning your wedding, your special day,” Carmona said. “It will be a lovely evening with food, drinks and music in a great venue.”
