Yesterday evening marked a special occasion for the City of Homestead, as we celebrated the groundbreaking for the New Homestead Police Station. Despite two failed attempts due to South Florida’s notorious heavy rain, the event went under way for the construction of the new home of Homestead’s Police Department: with the new facility will cover 55,000 square ft. of space, comprising of a three-story police headquarters and a one story ancillary building with on-site parking.
The celebration itself had a variety of guests alongside MCM team members and City of Homestead staff , with the list of attendees including key figures such as Homestead Mayor Jeff Porter, members of the City Council, City Manager George Gretsas, Homestead Police Chief Al Rolle alongside Homestead Police Department Officers Raul Munilla and Alexis Leal. With full cooperation from both Police Department and City of Homestead, this project serves as a shining example of how MCM is committed to its work to keep our officers and community safe.
