VOLUNTEERS MAKING OUR PARKS A BETTER PLACE
Commissioner Souto would like to thank all the volunteers who participated in a recent community service day at Tropical Park. It was a great event where volunteers helped clean and fix horse stables, plant trees, and much more. Let’s continue to keep our parks clean. Commissioner Souto sponsored the event with funds from his office.

DISTRICT 10 – BUSINESS OF THE WEEK Los Arrieros Restaurant, 10995 SW 40 Street
This week Commissioner Souto would like to introduce to you a small restaurant called Los Arrieros located at 10995 SW 40 Street. For Miami’s Colombian community, Los Arrieros provides an equally comforting atmosphere: walls adorned with quaint little balconcitos (models of Spanish-tile balconies), a life-size balcón for a stage, and a couple of jocular trovadores improvising verses from handwritten audience requests. They are well recognized for their excellent service. The restaurant menu include a savory sancocho, a clear soup loaded with gallina (hen), chunks of green plantain, potato, and yuca, seasoned liberally with fresh cilantro. The bandeja paisa features a tender steak, a strip of delicately fried chicharrón (pork skin), a mountain of white rice, a steaming bowl of red beans, and a fried egg. Spoon on some deliciously bright chimichurri sauce for a little snap in your steak. Wash it all down with a Manzana Postobon soda. As you can see Los Arrieros is well known for their delicious food and affordable prices. We wish them the best. Commissioner Souto has dined at Los Arrieros and knows the folks at this popular establishment.
