The Palace Renaissance in Kendall was the recipient of the local Keller Williams Realty office’s day of service project.

The assisted living community’s residents and staff enjoyed a carnival-themed event, which was part of Keller Williams’ annual “RED Day” festivities. Short for Renew, Energize and Donate, “RED Day” was created to unite Keller Williams Realty offices and associates and encourage employees to “Give Where They Live.”

The Palace Renaissance residents enjoyed the event, which was complete with midway entertainment, food and games.

The daylong event brought festivities for residents to enjoy along with the enthusiasm of the Keller Williams team. Music filled the air along with the aroma of freshly made popcorn and entertainment from a strolling stilt walker and magician to a tattoo painting artist and caricaturist.

The buffet lunch of hamburger sliders, corn dogs, chicken strips, fries and lemonade wasn’t complete until ice cream sodas topped off the afternoon.

“We found it so rewarding to spend time with Palace residents. They are so appreciative for these little gestures,” said Julio Sanchez, Keller Williams CEO/team leader. “Creating an event like our carnival and planning activities which would be entertaining as well as offer an opportunity to interact brought us together as a team. It was very meaningful.”

In addition to The Palace Renaissance, The Palace’s Kendall campus includes The Palace Suites, a luxurious independent living community; The Palace Royale offering “catered” assisted living services, and The Palace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a Medicare five-star community, which recently received the Governor’s Gold Seal Award.

The Palace also operates two communities in Homestead, The Palace Gardens, an assisted living community, and Homestead Manor Nursing Home as well as The Palace at Home, a Medicare-certified home health agency.

The Palace’s newest senior luxury rental community, The Palace at Coral Gables, is South Florida’s first urban senior living community and is scheduled to open to open later this spring.
