Attorney Gary Simon wins Kendall Networker Award Attorney Gary P. Simon, partner of Simon and Simon PA law firm, is the winner of the coveted Allan Stolman Ultimate Networker Award for 2015, it was announced at the Kendall Networkers’weekly breakfast meeting on Sept. 16.

A certificate honoring his service, recognizing his efforts over the past year as having closely “followed the footsteps of Allan Stolman,” a deceased member who best exemplified Networker goals.

Stolman died in 2008. Simon was chosen by ballot of the membership based on criteria that includes high number of referrals given to others, high level of attendance, an individual presentation, recruitment and attitude.

The vote by fellow members was announced by president Laurie Shapero and Marvin P. Stein, a Kendall CPA and founder of the award and the organization, one of the oldest active business referral groups in Miami-Dade County.

A resident of Pinecrest and a member of the bar for 40 years, Simon graduated from Stetson University where he served as managing editor of the University Law Review in 1974, later beginning his law career in Washington, DC, with the Chief Counsel’s Office of the Internal Revenue Service where he was a member of the Tax Division of the American Bar Association.

As senior member of Simon & Simon, 9500 S. Dadeland Blvd., his practice concentrates in the real property, corporate and business and guardianship fields, as well as litigation.

Also certified in wills, trusts and estates by the Florida Bar, he is an active member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the Executive Council. He served as the Bar’s vice chair of the Landlord-Tenant Sub-Committee from 1979 to 2003, and lectured for the Florida Bar Legal Education program from 1982 to 1990. With the Miami-Dade County Bar, he is a member of its Probate and Real Property Committees.

A former board member of Florida Savings Bank, he is past president of Temple Judea in Coral Gables and chairs the Culture of Giving Endowment Board. He also is a board member of the Jewish Museum of Florida, and active in community affairs as a member of the Village of Pinecrest Transportation Committee.
