Carlos Trujillo has represented Florida House District 105 since 2012. He has sponsored policies that promote economic growth. He also supported the highest ever per-student K-12 funding and sponsored consumer protection legislation to end surprise medical bills.
Trujillo currently is a member of the Public Health Trust Board of Trustees, tasked with protecting Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association, the League of Prosecutors, the Florida Bar’s Student Education and Admission to the Bar Committee. He has served on the board of the Belen Jesuit Alumni Association, the Miami-Dade Criminal Justice Council, and the Miami-Dade County Charter Review Task Force.
Prior to starting his own small business, Trujillo Vargas LLP, Carlos was an Assistant State Attorney for the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida from 2007 until 2011.
Trujillo received his law degree from FIU and his B.S. degree from Spring Hill College, where he was VP of the Student Government Association. Trujillo is a 2001 graduate of Belen Jesuit Preparatory School and a recipient of the Miami Herald’s Silver Knight Award.
