Coral Reef Senior High School has announced that Dr. Beatriz Jorva was approved by the Miami-Dade County School Board on July 12 to serve as an assistant principal at Coral Reef High.
Dr. Jorva brings to Coral Reef a wealth of knowledge, skill and experience, with a strong work ethic and a high energy level. She was a social studies teacher and department chair at G. Holmes Braddock High, from which her four children graduated. Dr. Jorva was promoted to assistant principal at Braddock, then went on to Dr. Michael Krop High, as assistant principal overseeing attendance. While there, she rigorously increased the school’s attendance percentage.
She now returns to the South Region, where she will continue striving for the best interest of each and every student. She believes parental involvement also is key to educational growth and is looking forward to working with parents to optimize student success.
Students, parents, the community and the faculty and staff are confident she is a great fit for the ’Cuda family.
