WheatgrassEnjoy all the health benefits of sprouts and wheatgrass this Sunday only at the Farmers’ Market at Kendall Village Center! The area’s premier open-air shopping destination is home to the Farmers’ Market and national and boutique local retailers such as Old Navy, Gap, Pier 1 Imports, Lane Bryant, Famous Footwear and more!

The weekly Farmers’ Market hosts more than 40 vendors of locally grown produce, delicious prepared foods such as fresh made-to-order brick oven pizza and Indian cuisine, artisanal bread, a colorful array of orchids, fresh made pastas, sauces, dips and marinades, handmade soaps and soy candles, quinoa products, and much, much more!

This week’s features are sprouts and wheatgrass:

  • Both pack a surprising amount of protein, Vitamin B, Zinc, and more. They are a live food, which makes many nutrients more available for digestion and assimilation; and their sweet taste makes them a great addition to any meal! Recipe below
  • Wheatgrass also packs a ton of nutritional benefits and has been referred to as, “nature’s medicine”. Just two ounces of wheatgrass juice has the same nutritional value as five pounds of the best raw organic vegetables.
