On Saturday, October 28, 2017, for the first time in school history, the boys and girls Cross Country Middle School teams traveled to Lakeland, Florida to participate in the MS XC State Meet.

Both teams earned the right to participate in the prestigious state meet by placing in the top 3 at the Southern MS Cross Country Conference Meet. Gulliver’s girls team had won the event and the boys team finished second.

For the MS XC State Meet that just passed, the girls team finished in 18th place, and the boys team managed to finish and earn 40th place. Each division was made up of more than 300 participants.

The top performer for the girls team was 8th grader Anne Bannon. On the boys side, it was 8th grader Gabe de Brito.
