Hilton Miami Dadeland development project celebrated its topping off construction milestone in February. The seven-story development by Baptist Health South Florida reached full height and is on track for a late fall 2018 opening.
The 150,000-square-foot hotel will be located at 9100 N. Kendall Dr., on the campus of Baptist Hospital and Miami Cancer Institute and in close proximity to many shops and dining as well as Dadeland Mall, historic Coral Gables, Key Biscayne and Coconut Grove. Nearby transportation hubs include Miami International Airport, Miami Metrorail, and Miami Executive Airport.
Hotel amenities will be suited for business and leisure travel as well as patients and their families, and will include 184-guest rooms, 34 tailored to extended stays, a 6,250-square-foot ballroom with additional meeting space options, health and wellness center with a fitness room, a heated outdoor pool, a farm-to-table restaurant, Starbucks, room service, and a 24-hour business center.
“We are excited to see the construction progress for the Hilton Miami Dadeland,” said Ana Lopez-Blazquez, CEO, Baptist Health Enterprises. “The property will offer signature elements of Hilton Hotels & Resorts, unparalleled amenities and beautifully designed rooms — a nice compliment to the warmth and hospitality Baptist Health is known for.”
The building is being designed by Coral Gables architect CallisonRTKL infusing best practices from healthcare and hospitality design bringing a welcoming, compassionate and uplifting environment for hotel guests.
The property will be managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts, which will soon welcome a general manager and director of sales and marketing to the pre-opening sales office that will open in the next few weeks.
