Miami-Dade Police Kendall and Hammocks Districts have announced meetings of their Citizens Advisory Committees will resume in January 2016. Both groups meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month unless holidays change normal dates.
James Blough, an insurance executive, was reelected chair of the Hammocks District on Nov. 18 and Kendall chair Barry White, community activist and folk music aficionado, will serve in his leadership position during the coming year.
Membership and attendance at CAC meetings is open to residents interested in learning more details about police activities in their area, hearing from community speakers and honoring Officers of the Month.
Hammocks CAC will next meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Hammocks District Police Station, 10000 SW 142 Ave.; Kendall CAC will meet the same day and time at its District Office, 7707 SW117 Ave.
