The newest farmers’ market for the Kendall area will host its grand opening on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kendall Village Center, a premier open-air pedestrian friendly shopping destination located at 8651 SW 124th Avenue in Miami. After this event, the farmers’ market will be open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Kicking off its inaugural season two weeks before Halloween, the Kendall Village Farmers’ Market will host a free pumpkin giveaway to first arrivers, a pumpkin decorating station, and photo opportunities for families in a pumpkin patch.
“We are committed to retaining our shopping center’s position as the premier destination for the area,” said Michael Berkowitz, President of Berkowitz Realty Group, stated on behalf of Kendall Village Center ownership. “As such, the farmers’ market is a continuation of this commitment, bringing the first opportunity for the community to enjoy and support local purveyors of organic offerings to Kendall Village Center.”
The newest addition to the line-up of national and boutique retailers at the Center, run by the same organization with other farmers’ markets in Miramar, will boast more than 40 vendors, including fresh local-grown supreme quality seasonal fruits and vegetables, gourmet baked goods, flowers, plants and much more.
Kendall Village Center features 276,000 square feet of national and boutique local retailers and 159,000 square feet of office space. Situated in the heart of West Kendall at the intersection of North Kendall Drive (SW 88 Street) and The Florida Turnpike, its marquis tenants include the Regal 16-plex Stadium Seating Theater, Old Navy, Gap, Nova Southeastern University, Pier 1 Imports and LA Fitness.
