Pet adoption event in West End

The office of Miami-Dade County Commissioner Juan C. Zapata is teaming up with Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava, the Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department, G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School, plus other local organizations and businesses to host the “West End Adopt a Friend” pet adoption event on Saturday, Nov. 5, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at Hammocks Community Park, 9885 Hammocks Blvd.

The event will feature dog and cat adoptions, microchipping, dog spaying/neutering services, a mobile grooming bus, giveaways and food trucks. In addition, Rocco’s Pack Dog Training will offer two free training workshops.

“I invite the community to come out and adopt a forever friend and take advantage of the resources and services offered by all of the participating organizations and businesses,” Commissioner Zapata said.
