Santa Claus seeks helpers for needy South Dade kids

Two organizations that yearly help Santa Claus in Kendall need your help, too.

The Kendall Federation of Homeowner Associations will host its annual “Holiday Toy Giveaway” for children of the Farm Share program of southwest Miami-Dade on Dec. 7.

Alongside a lighted tree, Ferguson High School’s “Lady Falcon” singers will provide carols, a Hanukkah Menorah will be lit, and holiday treats served before Santa Claus arrives with gifts for the Florida City Elementary schoolchildren.

The program begins at 7 p.m. at the Kendall Village Center Civic Pavilion, 8625 SW 124 Ave., adjacent to the Regal Theater complex.

Prior to the party, KFHA is collecting donations to purchase as many toys as possible with tax-deductible contributions accepted through Dec. 1. Checks, made payable to “KFHA” with a memo: “Holiday Event Fund,” should be mailed c/o Co-Chair Ileana Petisco or Co-Chair Libby Perez, 15625 SW 42 Terrace, Miami, FL 33185.

For contributions, call 305-505-8530 or 305-600-6090. For organization details, visit www.FarmShare.org or www.kfha.org.
