Santa Claus to visit kids in Farm Share program

For the third year, children aided by the Farm Share program will have their annual visit from Santa Claus at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Civic Pavilion in Kendall Village Center, 8625 SW 124 Ave.

The public is welcome to join the party that will feature Ferguson High School Lady Falconers singing carols and holiday music before a lighted Christmas tree and Hanukkah menorah.

The program will be climaxed by Santa’s arrival with bagfuls of treats and gifts for Florida City Elementary School children. “The first year we had 40 youngsters and last year, 65,” said Michael Rosenberg, KFHA president. “We’re hoping to treat at least 100 this year.”

HOLIDAY HAYRIDES SCHEDULED AT CONTINENTAL PARK, DEC. 14
Hayrides will help neighbors view bestdecorated homes in the annual Continental Park decoration program along with a visit from Santa Claus to highlight the HOA holiday celebration at Dice House on Saturday, Dec. 14.
A holiday movie and songs begin at 7 p.m., followed by award of certificates at 8 p.m. to residents of the best-decorated homes throughout area neighborhoods.

Metro-Dade Parks will offer a winter camp for children at the park pavilion, 10000 SW 82 Ave. with a variety of activities for age groups. Camp will be in session Dec. 23-27 and Dec. 30-Jan. 3.
