'Sex & the Animals' promises wild time at Zoo Miami, Feb. 3

Flamingoes in love

Back by popular demand, Zoo Miami’s Ron Magill will be presenting his critically acclaimed program, “Sex & the Animals” in the Sami Family Amphitheater on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 7:00PM. The zoo is located at 12400 SW 152 St.

Listed as a “Best Bet” and “a real crowd pleaser” by different media outlets, this unforgettable presentation has been enjoyed by thousands who have packed different venues around the country to see it. Through interesting “props” and an amazing variety of graphic images, Magill illustrates the incredible facts surrounding the courtship and breeding behaviors found throughout the animal kingdom.

Dealing with everything from frogs to elephants, this program is “education through entertainment” in the best sense of the term. By drawing parallels to human sexuality, Magill uses humor to keep the audience loose and uninhibited.

This is a program full of fascinating information about which Dr. Doolittle never dared ask. It is geared towards helping people appreciate the wonders of nature while giving a whole new meaning to the term, “doing the wild thing!”

Tickets are on sale via the Zoo Miami website at www.zoomiami.org in the events section for $45, which includes wine and cheese. Zoo Miami Foundation members are entitled to a discounted rate of $40.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the “Ron Magill Conservation Endowment” at the Zoo Miami Foundation. It is the largest endowment at the zoo that is restricted solely to supporting conservation and education programs in the wild areas where the animals exhibited at the zoo naturally exist.

There only will be one presentation of this adults-only (21 and over) show. Because of limited seating and the fact that this show has sold out during past presentations, advance purchase is recommended and can only be made online at www.zoomiami.org.
