The Miami Beach Chamber of C o m m e r c e ’ s (Chamber) Executive Board of Governors has voted Michael S. Goldberg, SVP of Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust, as its Chairman of the Board of Governors for the third and final year.
Goldberg was sworn in by the Honorable Judge Beth Bloom on October 6, 2015 at a ceremony held at the WHotel South Beach.
Additionally, Broker/Associate at One Sotheby’s International Realty Madeleine Romanello was installed as Pillar Board Chair for the second year. Also of note, Partner at Pathman Lewis, LLC Wayne Pathman was announced as Chair Elect of the Chamber’s Board of Governors and will be installed in October of 2016.
“I’m excited about serving a third year as Chairman of the Chamber,” said Goldberg. “I am proud to have been a strong advocate in representing the needs of local business owners and have helped our membership soar to new heights.”
“I’m looking forward to entering my second year as Pillar Board Chair,” said Romanello. “I hope to continue the board’s mission, which is to seek economic growth in Miami Beach, provide leadership for effective community involvement and lead the Miami Beach Chamber Education Foundation to continue to support teachers, educational programs and children in the Miami Beach school system.”
Goldberg has been on the Board of Governors since 1993. Additionally, he served as Treasurer from 1996-2000, is an Honorary Lifetime Trustee of the Chamber and Past-Chairman of the Pillar Board of Trustees.
Goldberg is also a Founder of Mt. Sinai Medical Center, serves on the Executive Board of the Foundation and is a Past- Chairman of the Young President’s Club. Born and raised on Miami Beach, Goldberg is a graduate of Miami Beach Senior High School.He graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and major in Business Management.
