South Pointe Elementary Wins Stanley Security Grant

South Pointe Elementary Wins Stanley Security GrantSouth Pointe Elementary School secured a $100,000 Stanley Security Grant for state-of-the-art security technology after placing second in a national competition for the grant.

With the students, faculty, staff, parents and the Miami Beach community behind them, South Pointe Elementary received enough votes to place second in the Together for Safer Grant Program. Over the next year, Stanley Security is looking to install security cameras inside and outside of the school, as well as panic button in all of the classrooms.

The Together for Safer Schools Grant Program is a national K-12 contest established by STANLEY Security in 2013 to help K-12 schools enhance security on campus. In its first year, the program offered U.S. schools the opportunity to receive security products and services through a $500,000 grant program. Nearly 1,000 schools were nominated from around the country, with at least one school represented from every state in the continental U.S.
