New Citibank Smart Branch

Banking just got simpler for the residents of Miami, with the opening of a new Citibank smart branch located at 830 5th Street in Miami Beach. The new branch is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. The drive-thru will open each day at 8:30 a.m.

“We are thrilled to bring our globally recognized smart banking capabilities to South Beach,” said Diane Bentivegna, Citibank’s Miami Market President. “From enhanced image envelope-free ATMs, digital walls, and a committed multi-lingual staff — our goal is to enhance the banking experience for our customers and simplify their financial lives.”

The building is part of Miami’s South Beach historic district and was constructed in 1923. The LEED-certified branch will serve retail, credit cards, small business, commercial banking, mortgage and personal wealth management customers with account opening and teller services, along with 24-hour ATMs.

The branch also offers a drive-thru teller, money orders and foreign exchange services. Customers can also bank through Citibank for iPad, Citibank® (Kindle Fire Edition), Citi Mobile and Citibank online.

The branch celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on January 17, 2013, with customer, employees and local community leaders.

The branch opening reinforces Citi’s long commitment to the greater Miami community. The United Way of Miami- Dade recently announced that it was allocating a $100,000 Citi Foundation grant to three local organizations that are implementing financial capability programs to support low and moderate-income women, disabled veterans, and aspiring first-time homebuyers. Citi and the Citi Foundation are also active supporters of The Education Fund, including the creation of the Citi Postsecondary Success Program, and Citi has also been a leading supporter of historic preservation and redevelopment of several Art Deco buildings in Miami Beach. During last year’s global celebration of Citi’s 200th anniversary, Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado joined local Citi volunteers as they erected a new kindergarten playground and revitalized the grounds at the historic Shenandoah Middle School.

“At Citi, we are committed to our local communities by teaming with residents to support vital organizations, like the Miami Chamber of Commerce,” said Bentivegna.

“Our team is happy to open our doors to welcome and serve customers and the community.”

As part of Citi’s commitment to the community, the branch will be hosting the following events:

• January 30 – Customer Appreciation Day

• February 14 – Valentine’s Day Celebration

• February 28 – Black History Month Celebration

• March 16 –

• St. Patrick’s Day Celebration (event actually falls on a Sunday – March 17)

“We believe in the vibrant people, businesses and community of Miami and we’re excited to play a role in its growth and prosperity,” said Bentivegna.
