HENRY DELGADO, General Manager; Miami Beach Smith & Wollensky

Henry began his hospitality career in the late 80’ with Doral Hotels of New York. Eventually he went on to work at the Carlyle Hotel, HK Hotel, Morgan Hotel and Penn Club of New York. In 1997 began his career with Smith & Wollensky where he trained and quickly moved through the ranks. Henry’s passion shined and he was promoted to the General Manager of the Miami Beach location in 2007.

No one can come to Miami Beach and resist going to the jewel of South Pointe Park – Smith & Wollensky. The restaurant is one of the newer landmarks of this historic city as visitors and locals find a home where Henry Delgado has lead his team to the highest degree of customer service. This is one restaurant where the staff prides themselves in knowing your name and preference during your repeat visits. It is the only place on Miami Beach where your dinner companion can be the great cruise ships leaving port and Delgado makes sure it is a memorable experience.

In addition to his duties as General Manager of the Miami Beach location, Henry works diligently to support the industry and has served as Vice President of Restaurants for the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. He currently serves as the Miami Chapter President. He is a member of the Greater Miami & the Beaches Hotel Association, and served on the Pillar Board of Trustees for the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce contributing to their support of local businesses. He is a senior member of the Miami Beach Hospitality Coalition, which is critical to the success of the tourist economy.

In addition has been involved as part of the planning committee for the Miami Wine Festival sponsored by the United Way, and supports the Miami Heat Foundation, Ronald McDonald Foundation and is an active board member of the Safe Haven Foundation for Newborns.

Delgado is a respected and recognized member of the community and contributes support by hosting gatherings for local initiatives at the restaurant. He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Florida International University and has over 25 years of involvement in the hospitality industry.
