What a thrilling time of year in Miami Beach! You can still feel the buzz in the air as the city says goodbye to Art Basel and welcomes the holidays. At the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, we are also excited to announce the new appointment of Michael S. Goldberg as Chairman of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. Goldberg is Senior Vice President and Miami Beach Market Executive for Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust and an active member of the Miami Beach community. I’d like to take this time to introduce you to Michael before he writes his first “Letter from the Chairman” in the next edition of Miami Beach News.
Michael’s dedication to the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce is unparalleled having served on the Board of Governors since 1993. Michael served as Treasurer for the Chamber from 1996-2000. Under his leadership as Pillar Board Chairman, which he served for almost three years, he was committed to reconnecting the Chamber with the Miami Association of Realtors and resurrected the “Real Estate Luncheon.” Real estate is the crux of any economy and his support of the Chamber’s Real Estate Council has been crucial in strengthening the real estate community in South Florida. The Real Estate Council at the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce hosts informational seminars and workshops including an annual luncheon for members to share their expertise on a variety of important real estate topics and offer guidelines to other Chamber members within the real estate community.
Moreover, Michael has been instrumental in bringing new prospective members to the Chamber and leading a successful membership recruitment program. An organization like the Chamber is only as strong as its members and his guidance in expanding the organization has been invaluable. He was instrumental in bringing engaging key note speakers to the Chamber’s pillar breakfasts and events grew exponentially with over 200 members attending any given reception.
Born and raised in Miami Beach, Goldberg personifies commitment and dedication to his community and for the clients he serves. We are looking forward to what the new year may bring and the insights and expertise Michael will bring to the Chamber and Miami Beach business community.
