Miami Resident Matthew Julian Gorski Graduates from Haverford College

Haverford College is pleased to announce the graduation of Matthew Julian Gorski, son of Peter and Sandra Gorski of Miami, and a graduate of Phillips Academy. One of 296 members of Haverford’s Class of 2013, Gorski received a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in economics during commencement ceremonies in Haverford, Pa., on Sunday, May 19.

Gorski’s senior thesis, the culmination of the Haverford academic experience, is entitled, “How do bureaucracies attain autonomy?”
While studying at Haverford, Gorski competed on the men’s soccer team, of which he was captain his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He was awarded with the Gregory Kannerstein ’63 Award by the Haverford athletics department for his achievements and leadership as a member of the soccer team.
