Peppers Authentic Mexican coming to South Miami

Peppers Authentic Mexican coming to South Miami

Peppers Authentic Mexican coming to South MiamiPeppers Authentic Mexican, a local’s favorite for fresh, traditional Mexican food in a friendly laidback setting in its two existing Miami locations, is heading south to Pinecrest. Owned and operated by business partners, David Gonzalez and Gonzalo Leon De Bracamonte, the casual eatery will add to its South Beach and Brickell restaurants with a new Peppers slated to open in Dadeland Plaza, 9459 South Dixie Highway, in July 2016.

Now, guests down south can enjoy Peppers’ authentic Mexican fare made-to-order including a selection of hearty tacos, fresh salads, sizzling fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas and burritos served in corn, flour or whole wheat tortillas.

Signature items include the carne asada platter – skirt steak seasoned to perfection served with rice and beans and two cheese enchiladas; beef barbacoa slowly cooked for 5 hours and served in corn tortillas with cilantro and onions; and the fully loaded Peppers burrito with rice, beans, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream, roasted peppers, onions and a choice of ground beef, chicken or steak. Lighter fare includes lettuce wrap tacos and a selection of hearty salads such as the primavera tossed with grilled pineapples marinated in ranchero sauce and tomatoes served on a bed of lettuce. Expanding on the brand’s already robust menu, the South Miami location will also serve a variety of new dishes such as seafood platters featuring shrimp cocktails and fresh fish options.

The perfect accompaniment to any meal at Peppers, housemade guacamole will be prepared tableside in a traditional Mexican molcajete and served with crispy tortilla chips. Zesty homemade hot sauces are available upon request including a creamy habanero with a fiery kick. To cool the palate, domestic and international beers, wine and margaritas will be available. A variety of Mexican soft drinks and horchata will also be on the menu.

According to Gonzalez, “Peppers has been a mainstay on South Beach since 2007. We’ve seen the taco craze take hold in South Florida over the past few years and felt it was a great time for us to expand. Gonzalo and I thought that Pinecrest, with its great mix of families and professionals, would be the perfect location for our brand. The new restaurant is going to feature an upgraded interior from our other stores – its 3,000 square feet with seating for 120 will be very design forward with rich textures and warm food accents, along with modern industrial finishes. We’re very excited bring this beautiful new store to the South Miami community.”

Peppers Authentic Mexican will be open daily at 11AM for lunch and dinner and is located at 9459 South Dixie Highway.
